Subject lines are 90%+ responsible for success. If they don’t work the email campaign has no chance of success. These two lines introduced an email campaign I wrote for SSL Solutions, a website security provider, in the spring of 2018:
(1) “WARNING! Google says your website is NOT SECURE!”

The body copy clearly explained the dangers to the website holder and their visitors if their site is not SSL Certified. I wrote that Google and other major browsers are penalizing them many ways including their ranking. But without the strong subject line thousands on SSL’s list would not even get the message.
